I have Total Cholesterol 240
Is total cholesterol 240 is too high? I have started to jog daily for 30mins and reduced junk foods, oily foods & non veg..Can i continue to eat non veg like meat and chicken in limited quantities or need to stop it completely? And i heard we should not eat almonds & dates as it also increases total cholesterol levels is it true? Can i eat 5-6 almonds a day ? And some dates?

Hi, ur age is not much for this cholesterol level. U should take care of urself. No need to take medicine just now. Only change ur life style n food habits. Calculate ur input and output calories. Increase your fruit intake n water in take. U can take chicken or fish  but in less oil. Increase ur protein intake. Dry fruits r o.k except cashew nuts.

If you have no other co morbidities like sugar, BP then you don’t need to start medicine for these levels of cholesterol. You didn’t tell what is 240.. total cholesterol or ldl, In any case continue jogging, you can eat non veg, only avoid red meat. You can eat 6-7 almonds daily, they contain good fats
