Thanks for reaching out for help. Firstly, do not put yourself down by saying you do not have any talent just because you do not have a job. Parental or peer pressure can sometimes make one feel that way. But what you will need now is to take stock of your life and think progressively about being financially independent. Have a chat with a counselling psychologist or get help through a life coach or career coach if you feel you need some external guidance on this. Feeling depressed and letting it affect your body is not the way to deal with this.
Next Steps
As a life coach and counselling psychologist, I suggest you take online appointments with me or any counsellor to look at your current situation with an objective mind. Set goals and start working on how you can make yourself financially independent and emotionally strong.
Health Tips
Do not underestimate what your parents or loved ones are wishing for you. It is simply their way of telling you to work for your own progress and worth in life. Any conflict in interest can be talked out and worked upon. Your physical pain will be gone once you sort out your mental stress and mend your equation with those around you.

Hey u r doing phd in English that’s awesome. Start appreciating urself. U can simply earn money by creating contents or writing contents for others online. As per my knowledge, we can’t change others whether it is parents or anyone else in d world. Better change urself. When u change urself, others will either automatically change or they will start accepting the new changed version of you. Spend time alone n think what u wanna do with self, ur life, ur future.

Hi, Congratulations for doing your Ph.D. Without any skills or talent no one could reach up-to the level of doing doctorate. If you didn't like going for government or banking job why don't you find your area of interest and start exploring it. Its better to have something in hand before rejecting anything. Few things to put into practice: (1) Learn to love and appreciate yourself (2) Know your area of interest and start exploring it (3) Identify your skills and talents and build your career

Instead of seeing them that that are forcing you, maybe you can think from their perspective.. You can try teaching, writing contents etc., in various portal or platforms and start feeling good and can lead an independent life.. So that you can feel motivated and happy.. Even, they might not get irritated for you having been a dependent on them.. I would like you to know that every challenge also presents an opportunity along with it. Kindly reflect on the following : Do I have the conviction about what I wish to achieve ? If no, what are the beliefs that prevent me from doing so ? Do I have an action plan to back it up ? Often, our dilemma springs from a lack of conviction and uncertainty regarding our intentions and goals which is of course, exacerbated by others' opinions/actions. I would suggest you to write down the answers to the above on paper. Each of us have a contribution to make, a role to play in this world. Just like how a tiny acorn has all the intelligence and potential to grow into a giant oak, you too already have the resources in you to succeed in this world. Give yourself permission to strive for your aspirations. Do not be disillusioned by failures or setbacks, rather see them as opportunities to learn and grow. Be steadfast in your preparations and trials. And never, ever, ever, give up. You shall succeed. You are going to do just fine. Whenever your parents make suggestions, kindly try to respect their feelings and try to see those suggestions from their perspective even though you may choose to go in a different direction.
