Hypothyroidism, TSH 26
Hello, my TsH levels are 26 currently. I have been diagnosed  with Hypothyroidism 2 yrs back. Then it was 7, I used homeopathy and then stopped which led to an increase of 14, ,after which I have taken 25 mg thyronorm and continued taking it for 6 months . Then the level got reduced to 11. But after that again for 6 months I used the same dosage and suddenly my TSH levels shot up to 26 which left me in shock. Should I worry about the cardiovascular risks of hypothyroidism for these TSH levels and what's the power of the tablet and treatment process I should prefer for these levels?

High TSH level could be due to inadequate thyroxine dose.Thyroid hormone certainly plays a major role in the body system.Thyroxine is replacement hormone which needs to be taken throughout. The dose is calculated on your bodyweight and TSH level as well ,and is adjusted accordingly , under the supervision of your doctor.

You have explained your situation in a very lucid manner. To cut the story short, please adjust your dose of Thyronorm under the supervision of a General Physician. You should do periodic testing of TSH. And please stick to one System of Medicine, whether Homeopathy or AYUSH or Modern Medicine.
