Hello,
Your thyroid reports show a shift from hyperthyroidism (low TSH, high T4) to hypothyroidism (high TSH, lower T4) after carbimazole, which is why your doctor reduced the dose. Carbimazole dosing often needs adjustment based on repeat thyroid function tests every 4–6 weeks. A single dose may not remain stable long term, so close monitoring is important.
You are on the right path, but regular follow-up and timely blood tests are essential to avoid swings between hyper- and hypothyroidism. Please connect with me on Practo for detailed review and guidance.

10 mg per day once daily is adequate dose and please continue as advised and repeat tsh with t3 and t4 for proper follow up and change in medication dose
Your lab trends and dose adjustment suggest your thyroid levels are responding well to carbimazole. Reducing to 10 mg daily is a common step to prevent shifting into hypothyroidism.
Thyroid treatment is dynamic, doses often need adjustment based on regular testing and symptoms, so sticking to your primary physician’s monitoring schedule and guidance is essential.
It’s understandable to feel concerned, but these changes are a normal part of managing hyperthyroidism, and with close follow-up, your care is on the right track.
If hyperthyroid symptoms (e.g., palpitations, tremors, weight loss) recur before your next test, contact your doctor sooner.
