A diet high in fiber helps relieve symptoms of constipation. Avoid foods which cause gastric discomfort. -Consume at least 5 to 6 servings of green vegetables a day in the form of vegetable soups, green vegetable sabzi, salads or stir fry. -Do fill half the portion of your daily meals plate with green vegetables to ensure adequate intake of fiber in a day. -Switch your regular white rice, rava, rice flakes with complex carbohydrates sources such as oats, brown rice, quinoa or dalia to help improve digestion. -Consume fruits such as apples, pears, guava and berries as they contain good amounts of fiber and help relieve constipation. -Try to include 1tsp of chia seeds (soaked) in your daily diet routine as it helps boost your daily fiber intake. -Along with food, hydration is important as well. Consume at least 2 to 2.5l of water daily. -Add curd, yogurt or buttermilk, post your meals a day to help improve digestion. -Try to incorporate a 15 to 20 minutes of walk post your meals to help improve digestion and avoid bloating.
