Yes it works. Syp Honytus..medicated syrup also main ingredient is honey works better for Dry irritative cough. It should be fresh and natural free from toxins and preservatives. It won't act against cold.

Honey alone can't cure cough/cold.can mix with pepper and also give cough syrup/steam inhalation.

Honey can have some soothing effect for throat... I don’t think so... that it can treat cold ....

But would be helpful , if the child is having dry or wet cough ?
