Those symptoms could be due to a viral fever , where there's no role for a antibiotic.Follow with the treating doctor request for a influenza A B test to decide if you need a antiviral medicine.

Please consult some other Doctors in your area. If the treatment of one Doctor has not been successful in your case then at least a proper clinical examination (and a few investigations) should be done before changing your treatment. Tele-consultation may not be the best method.

Visit an internal medicine person, who will guide you better. Chest needs to be auscultated.Other physical examination needs to be done. Most of the fevers start subsiding on day 4.If they continue beyond that, certain investigations need to be done.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. Based on your symptoms of fever, cold, cough, and watery eyes, it seems that you might have a viral infection or bacterial superinfection, which could explain the escalation in fever and nasal symptoms. Your doctor initially prescribed Claribid (clarithromycin) along with paracetamol and Montelukast. If the fever and nasal symptoms worsened after starting this treatment, and your doctor has advised switching to Monocef-O-CV (a combination of cefpodoxime and clavulanic acid), it might be an attempt to target a broader range of bacteria in case of a resistant or secondary bacterial infection. However, before making changes to the medication, it's essential to reassess the underlying cause of your symptoms. I would recommend a follow-up consultation with a specialist to confirm the necessity of the new antibiotic and ensure there's no viral component that may not require antibiotics at all. In case your symptoms are not improving, I would suggest getting a few investigations like a complete blood count (CBC) or a chest X-ray, especially if you have any chest congestion or breathing difficulty. For a more personalized evaluation and appropriate treatment plan, I would be happy to guide you further. You can also reach me via WhatsApp by sending a message to eight-zero-zero-nine-eight-two-one-double three-two.
