The problem faced by ur mother i.e. hearing of voices jn her head can be most likely due to common psychiatric illness and the good part is both can be treated with medication. Kindly consult a psychiatrist online or in person

7 months is too long! And you haven't consulted a Psychiatrist till now ? Please consult a psychiatrist asap. Yes the voices should go once medicines are started. But if you delay, then might take longer for medicines to act.

Hearing of voices can be a symptom of a few mental disorders. Its better to consult a psychiatrist about the same. With proper treatment it can be controlled, even completely eliminated. The sooner the better.
