Your worries about your daughter's health sound like health-related anxiety. It is common for anxiety to focus on loved ones, especially children, which explains why even small symptoms feel overwhelming and trigger fear.
Next Steps
It would be helpful to start counselling so you can learn how to manage these repetitive worries and reduce the constant fear. You may consult with me, and we can work together on strategies to help you feel calmer and regain control.
Health Tips
Try to limit checking for symptoms repeatedly, practice relaxation (deep breathing before sleep), and remind yourself that frequent colds and coughs in children are very common. Keeping a journal of your thoughts can also help you see patterns and reduce overthinking.

Hi Kind of sounds like your love and care for your daughter has turned into constant worry, to the point where every small cough or even news about another child’s illness feels like a threat. That is health anxiety focused on your child your mind jumps to worst-case scenarios, and even though doctors reassure you, the “what if” thoughts don’t stop. This is why you’re not able to sleep, enjoy life, or focus on yourself. This kind of anxiety is common in mothers because of the deep bond and sense of responsibility. But living in this constant fear is exhausting for you and also affects your daughter indirectly. Therapy can help you manage these thoughts, break the overchecking cycle, and rebuild your confidence as a mother. You are not “overthinking” by choice your brain is stuck in an anxious loop.
