Headaches due to low ferritin b12
Hi doctors my wife was recently diagnosed with borderline b12,feritin , magnesium etc is can these deficiency cause headaches also because i know one gets muscle aches dizziness but she complains headache along with these

Whether supplementation of these vitamins alone prevents future recurrence is questionable

Borderline ferritin alone is an unlikely cause of headache.Any type of headache lasting for a few days should be evaluated by visiting a physician initially,if required by a neurologist later

Low Magnesium in particular is one of the most studied causes of headaches and migraines â magnesium deficiency causes blood vessels to constrict and affects brain neurotransmitters, both of which trigger head pain. Magnesium supplementation is even used medically as a preventive treatment for migraines. Low iron (ferritin) causes reduced oxygen supply to the brain, which directly causes headaches even before full anemia develops. And low Vitamin B12 affects the nervous system and can cause persistent dull headaches or migraine-like symptoms. So the headaches your wife is experiencing are very likely a direct result of these three borderline deficiencies together.
