As your daughter is 4 yrs of age and she is having cough cold and fever, also headache
May I know what is the course fever like is it high or low it comes in day or evening
Any other associated symptoms like burning micturiton, stomach ache, vomiting, nausea, loss of appetiete ...........
As per your history it's looks acute viral infection but if there is recurrence then need some basic investigation like cbc, crp, urine culture
Next Steps
first of all if fever occurs then take paracetamol 500mg and do cold sponging if high fever
stay hydrated , wait for 4-5days if fever does not subside then take urine culture and may start cefixime 200mg for next 6 days Bd

Hello,
Your daughter (4 years, 16 kg) is having fever with cough, cold and headache since 5 days. Since the fever is recurrent even after taking medicines, this suggests an underlying infection that needs proper evaluation.
Possible causes:
Viral fever (common in children, but usually settles within 4â5 days).
Bacterial respiratory infection (throat, chest, or sinus).
Less commonly, ear infection or other systemic infection.
What you should do now:
Get her evaluated by a pediatrician at the earliest for a physical examination.
Basic tests like CBC, CRP, urine test, chest examination may be required to find the cause.
Keep her well hydrated, give light meals, and continue fever control with paracetamol 15 mg/kg every 6â8 hours if fever >100°F (avoid excess or multiple medicines without prescription).
Do not start antibiotics on your ownâlet the pediatrician decide after examination.
â ï¸ Since the fever is persisting beyond 5 days, I strongly recommend a pediatric consult in person to rule out secondary bacterial infection and guide the right treatment.
