So if you had never treated yourself and this is only six months history where you are facing and hair loss, I recommendation is to start with supplements of iron and topical peptides and oral hair supporting supplements Try this for next three months. If things doesn’t work out, then you can start with 2% of Minoxidil

Health Tips
It takes 3-4 months to see results.don’t ignore hair loss for too long as it can progress to baldness
Treatment depends upon the cause of hairfall whether it is due to external factors or genetic
Much more detailed medical history needs to be assessed before starting you on your personalised treatment plan
Kindly share a clear picture in good lighting of affected areas
• Your history suggests chronic hair fall, likely telogen effluvium with possible early female pattern hair loss
• Minoxidil (Prolox 5%) is a safe and well-studied treatment for this condition
• The initial hair fall you’ve heard about is temporary shedding, which happens because weak hairs fall out to allow stronger regrowth—this is actually a sign the medicine is working, not worsening
Next Steps
• You can start minoxidil as prescribed—use it regularly and consistently
• Give it at least 3–4 months to assess visible improvement
• If you are still unsure or anxious, I recommend a consultation with me on Practo so I can evaluate your scalp pattern and guide you step-by-step and also suggest alternatives of minoxidil
Helpful Tips / Words of Caution
• Initial shedding can occur in the first few weeks—do not stop because of this
• Results take time; consistency is key
• Apply only on scalp (not hair length)
• Avoid stopping suddenly once started, as it can reverse progress
• Manage stress, nutrition, and sleep—they play a major role in hair fall
