H pylori and fatty liver
Does h pylori and fatty liver causes weight loss ? I have done endoscopy due to burping and found h pylori . Also low b12 deficiency. Lft is normal. I have lost 6 kg weights in 5 months.please reply

H pylori which causes gastric and/or duodenal ulcers which inturn causes decreased absorption of b12 , folic. Acid , vit A .

H.pylori per se does not cause weight loss But acid peptic disease may cause weight loss. Kindly consult a surgeon online with practo Dr Pandian

H. Pylori doesn't cause weight per se but it may lead to you avoiding meals so as to avoid the burning sensation or other symptoms. It is a 14 days course of antibiotics for H. Pylori treatment. Once you get it done, your symptoms will subside and you'll be able to eat better..helping you with the Vit B12 deficit. Consult for apt management.
