A vegetarian diet for gastritis focuses on soothing and easy-to-digest foods to minimize irritation to the stomach lining. Here are some dietary suggestions: Non-Acidic Fruits: Opt for fruits like bananas, melons, and papayas, which are less acidic and gentle on the stomach. Cooked Vegetables: Choose well-cooked and easily digestible vegetables such as carrots, zucchini, and spinach. Whole Grains: Include whole grains like rice, oats, and quinoa, which are less likely to cause irritation. Lean Proteins: Incorporate plant-based proteins like tofu, lentils, and beans. Avoid fried or heavily seasoned options. Healthy Fats: Use sources of healthy fats, such as avocados, nuts, and seeds, but in moderation. Dairy Alternatives: If you tolerate dairy, consider lactose-free or plant-based alternatives like almond or soy milk. Herbal Teas: Chamomile or ginger tea may help soothe the stomach. Avoid Spicy and Acidic Foods: Steer clear of spicy dishes, citrus fruits, tomatoes, and other acidic foods that can aggravate gastritis.
