As u mentioned gaps it’s from before ya u started noticing it now.. bcoz in diabetic due to deposit n periodontal issue it flares up.. n if ur sugar is in control go for braces.. if not go for fixed crowns

We have to diagnose the cause of the gaps. Since you said that w are a diabetic the gum health will also suffer. So it's better that you Practo Consult with photographs.

Gaps can be corrected by orthodontic treatment . Depending on how much mm gaps are present time of treatment varies. It can last from 8 months to 18 months . for that dontist has to examine Clinically and radiographically for the spaces and bone support ..Visit an orthodontist nearby .
