Frequent diarrhea, constipation, bloatin
A 62 year old man with controlled diabetis facing stomach disorders like alternate constipation and diarrhea, bloating, gases, unstable stomach and acidity from about an year. A smoker (15/day) for about 40 years with symptoms of COPD. No BP but pulse is on a higher side (110-120). Regular walking & stretching exercises. Leading a retired life.

investigations: stool for R/E,M/E and C/S,CBC,S.Creatinine,usg of WA, LFT, TSH RX: 1) if constipation- cap.lubowel 24 mcg OD or, tab.pruvict 2 mg od 2) if diarrhoea- tab.rifagut/rixmin 400 mg BD for 14 days plus cap.econorm 250 BD for 5 to 10 days 3) if anxiety- tab.tryptomer 10 mg ODHS for 3 months/continue 4) tab.pan 40 mg odbbf-1 month 5) if antihelminthics not received in last 3 months,then tab.mebex 100 mg bd for 3 days 6) if any abdominal pain , tab.colospa retard/normaxin mb 200 bd for 15 days hope it will help

Ibs??? You need gastroenterologist. Tab rifagut 400 two times a day after food for 2 weeks. Enterogermina respule three times a day for three. Mucain gel10 ml without water nothing by mouth till 30min can be taken 3to 4times. LISTEN CHANGE LIFE STYLE N DIET PLAN DRASTICALLY FIRST.
