I had a hard skin (corn type) on side of my foot and because it was harmless I ignored and one month back i noticed the skin around that corn is bulged and consulted dermatologist.
As per doctor s advice I applied salicure ointment and salt water soak and after one week bulging reduced a bit.
Then doctor said i don't have to do regular salt water soak and only apply salicure ointment once a day.
It is been 4 weeks now I am applying salicure and the layers of corn is peeling off but the bulged area around is is still there. No pus , no pain on pressing.just a white color bulged area.
Any suggestions.

Hi,It’s good that you’ve consulted a dermatologist. The persisting bulged area may need further evaluation. I recommend consulting a doctor online for personalized advice.
Next Steps
Schedule an online consultation with a healthcare professional to assess the condition.
Health Tips
Continue following your doctor’s advice and keep the area clean and dry.
Kindly share pictures for better evaluation and diagnosis cornscan be removed kindly consult us online so that we can get your detailed history and prescribe you accordingly
The lesion you describe appears consistent with a chronic heloma durum (hard corn) with possible underlying pressure-induced dermal thickening or reactive fibrosis. The absence of pain, pus, or erythema is reassuring, ruling out active infection. The white bulge may be residual callus or a localized thickened dermis.
Next Steps
Continue topical keratolytics (like Salicure) once daily for another 2–3 weeks. If the bulge persists or feels firm, you may benefit from debulking via paring by a dermatologist or occlusion therapy using salicylic acid plasters. A footwear assessment and offloading with soft silicone padding or corn caps is essential to prevent recurrence.
If the bulge remains fixed after 6–8 weeks of topical treatment, consider a review for differential diagnoses like plantar warts (HPV) or epidermal inclusion cyst, especially if the core regrows or there's recurrence.
No need to worry.specific treatment is available.it depends on severity of the disease . Complete medical history is required..
Pls do online consultation with Dermatologist for detailed prescription & guidance.
