Flappy gum
I just had a cleaning for tartar removal. But after the cleaning, I have a little flappy gum between two of my front lower incisors. I also feel my incisors are a bit loose, though I can't see them moving, but I can feel them moving. What should I do about my gums?

If you have noticed a flappy gum and a feeling of slight looseness in your front lower incisors after a cleaning, it's possible that there may have been some irritation or trauma to the gums during the cleaning process. This can occasionally happen, especially if there was a significant amount of tartar buildup or if the gums were inflamed prior to the cleaning. Here are a few steps you can take: Give it time: In many cases, the gum tissue will heal on its own within a few days to a week. Avoid touching or playing with the flappy gum, as this can further irritate the area. Maintain good oral hygiene: Continue to brush your teeth gently but thoroughly, paying attention to the affected area. Be careful around the flappy gum and try to avoid putting excessive pressure on it. Rinse with saltwater: Rinse your mouth with warm saltwater (one teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water) a few times a day. This can help promote healing and reduce any inflammation or discomfort. Monitor the situation: Keep an eye on the area and observe any changes. If you notice any signs of infection (increased redness, swelling, pus, severe pain), or if the looseness of your incisors worsens, it is important to contact your dentist for a follow-up appointment.

After Cleaning , feeling of mobility might be there. That is because previously you must be having a tartar bridge holding your teeth together and suddenly the teeth are now separate and left on their own. However within a week you will feel much better. However, your flabby/ flaccid gums need to be checked again after 2 weeks. If the still remain flabby and flaccid, you may need treatment for these false pockets. Follow oral hygiene instructions given by your dentist.
Next Steps
If your problem persists after 2 weeks, seek another appointment and get it sorted out.
