Please seek a proper consultation with a General Surgeon in your area. Don't diagnose fissures without a physical examination. It could be an infection of the hair follicle.

Your symptoms — pain after defecation, swelling in the anal area, and difficulty sitting — are likely due to either: Acute thrombosed external hemorrhoid, or Anal fissure with sentinel skin tag/swelling. These conditions are common even without visible bleeding. Next Steps Avoid straining during stools. Take a high-fiber diet, plenty of water (2.5–3L/day). Consider a stool softener (like lactulose or isabgol) at bedtime. Apply lidocaine + anti-inflammatory ointment (e.g., Shield, Anovate) locally 2–3 times daily. Sit in warm water sitz baths 2–3 times a day to relieve pain/swelling. If pain/swelling worsens or persists >5–7 days, consult a general surgeon or proctologist for a local examination. Helpful Tips Avoid spicy food, prolonged sitting, and dry toilet paper. Do not delay medical consultation if the pain worsens, fever develops, or swelling increases — it could suggest an abscess or thrombosis needing urgent care.
