Fever while taking Typhoid antibiotic
My husband was diagnosed with typhoid fever a week ago. He is currently taking 2 tablets of Taxim-O 200 twice a day. However, he is still experiencing fevers 4-5 times a day, with occasional spikes to 103°F or higher. The antibiotic course is scheduled to end on 19th July. Should I wait until then or seek immediate medical advice?

You should consult your physician who is treating your husband. Apparently Taxim O is not working. Antibiotics schedule needs to be changed.

The third agent needs to be added to this regimen. Typhoid fever takes a longer time to resolve than other infections.
