Your information is insufficient to make diagnosis ankle sprain,  need clinical examination as well as radiological examination for making diagnosis. Based on your information treatment of ankle sprain should be 1. Rest 2. Ice pack application 3. Compression by crepe bandage 4. Elevation of foot end Srain is worst than fracture,  fracture will unite easily but Sprain will not if proper rest not taken. This is key to healing of sprain of ligaments. Around 6-8 week requires for healing of sprain.
