I sprained my ankle while playing cricket ( I missed the ball and the bat hit directly my foot ) . It has been two weeks now and the swelling and pain has reduced.
I don't know should I get an x-ray or give it more time to heal. I have been using volini and ice pack.

A direct hit to the ankle without any twisting injury would be classified as blunt soft tissue injury rather than sprain. The improvement of pain and swelling is a good sign. However getting an xray done, will rule out bony injury and you can start physio to help in recovery
