If this fear is all pervasive and interfering with your everyday life, it is worth seeing a mental health professional. Fear can be a symptom of a multitude of mental health problems, and can even be present in a mentally healthy individual.
If this problem has always been present, a mental health professional can guide you to better cope with it. New onset of such problems can also signify a possible mental illness, and can be managed with either therapy or medication.
Hi there
In my opinion, you definitely should see a mental health professional. A detailed history (of duration, reason, extend of problem) need to be taken. Mode of treatment can be medicines or therapy (either or both) depending upon detailed history
