Health Tips
healthy lifestyle modifications and dietary management are essential and beneficial..
Piles or hemorrhoids are caused mainly due to lack of fiber intake, constipation and lack of adequate fluids in the diet. Piles aggrevates due to prolonged sitting and excessive strain on the rectal blood vessels when you try to pass stools. Lack of physical activity is also a main reason for constipation and piles. Try to regularize your bowels having plenty of fiber rich vegetables in the diet like cabbage, carrot, beans and leafy vegetables. Opt for fiber rich cereals like oats, ragi, whole wheat, brown rice etc and avoid refined foods like maida and maida based fast foods /bakery products. Eggs, chicken and red meats can worsen constipation/piles in some individuals. Plenty of fluids like cabbage soup, other vegetable soup and simple physical activity like regular walks for atleast an hour daily will stimulate peristalsis and alleviate constipation and piles.
