Extracting wisdom tooth
I went to the dentist yesterday for extracting my wisdom tooth.after extraction I saw some of the cheeks from the lower lips burns and turned white..dentist told me it was happened due to dental drill becomes hot and burns the cheek..he told me nothing to worry it will be cure automatically. Iam applying betadine oinment and after that metrogyl dg gel forte. Is it ok to use this oinments... And my lips and cheeks are sweeling. From today morning I am feeling feverish feeling..when i checked firstly it was 98.7 but after breakfast and having antibiotics I checked again and it was showing 99.9... Is this fever due to pain? And one more thing doctor gave me 2 ibuprofen 400 one after lunch and one after dinner but if pain increased can i add one more tablet..I am attaching my sweeling face picture 1st one is yesterdays and next one is todays...

Don't panic! This is one of the complication of wisdom tooth extraction. Apply ice-pack 2-3 times on that region. Apply T-Bact ointment on the injury 3-4 times a day and keep the injured area clean before applying the ointment. Apply Dologel ointment inside your mouth at injured region 2-3 times after meals and after rinsing your mouth.
Next Steps
Take Diclofenac sodium+Paracetamol combination for pain & fever twice a day for 5 days. Antibiotics twice a day for 5 days.
Health Tips
Do warm saline rinses 5-6 times/day for 2-3 weeks.

Hie.. swelling after extraction of wisdom tooth increases by the third day of extraction.. after that slowly it decreases.. fever could be because of this event.. On external surface: apply ice pack for 6 hours intermittently and also apply T-bact ointment twice a day rather than betadine ointment.. Inside the mouth: metrogyl ointment will work Medicine: take dolo 650 for fever (SOS) Antibiotics course has already been started by your dentist.. u can take chymoral forte tablet twice a day for 3 days
Next Steps
Don’t let the area wet or moist ... avoid hot and spicy food for next 3 days..
Health Tips
Do warm saline rinses after 24 hours from the time of extraction.. 2-3 times a day

Apply ice pack pressure over the swelled up area extraorally as many times possible. Those ointments are ok to use. Make sure to not apply betadine ointment inside your lips. Metrogyl DG gel can be applied intraorally. T bact ointment application extraorally even more effective.
