I have been taking medicines for my eczema since May 5th 2025 . For first month i took steroids. And then since june i have been taking itraconazole and antihistamines along with antifungal and steroid ointments, my symptoms have improved but my doctor calls me every week and prescribes the same medicines again and again. I don't understand the need to go visit him every week just to be prescribed same medicines also my symptoms are controlled by steroid ointment why do i need oral antifungal medicines?

I think a proper diagnosis has not been made for you. A dermatologist will never give steroid creams if it’s a an antifungal infection.

Eczema and anti fungal are totally different diseases. Steroid should not be taken in fungal infection and anti fungal in eczema. I suggest you get yourself properly diagnosed so that appropriate treatment can be started timely.
