Your persistent craving to eat raw, uncooked rice is likely a form of pica—a condition where individuals develop cravings for non-food substances.
Pica is commonly linked with iron deficiency anemia. In many cases, addressing an iron deficiency (through blood tests, iron supplements, and dietary adjustments) helps alleviate the urge to consume non-nutritive items like raw rice.
It’s important to get a comprehensive evaluation from me or any doctor to confirm the deficiency and receive appropriate treatment.

Hello,
Your urge to eat raw rice is known as Pica, a condition where individuals crave and consume non-nutritive substances. This can be linked to iron deficiency anemia, zinc deficiency, or even psychological factors like stress or obsessive-compulsive tendencies.
Possible Causes:
Nutritional Deficiencies – Iron and zinc deficiencies are common triggers.
Psychological Factors – Anxiety, stress, or OCD-related behaviors can contribute.
Habitual Craving – Long-term consumption may develop into a habitual craving.
Next Steps:
Get a complete blood count (CBC) and serum iron studies to check for anemia.
Consider a serum zinc test to rule out deficiencies.
If anxiety or OCD is suspected, consult a psychiatrist for evaluation.
Avoid raw rice consumption as it can lead to digestive issues and nutritional imbalances.
