I am having very dry and chapped lips. I applied lipgloss and boroline which I generally use but it did not work mostly applying at night heal the lips.
But this time nothing was working I started applying coconut oil it helps a bit but still having chapped lips. Also from few day im having cold and slight fever. Is it due to some vitamin or iron or other deficiency or one of the thyroid symptoms?
Or it is just due cold.
PS: I was using pink salt from almost 2 years. From 2 days switched back to iodine salt.
Please let me know what to do next.

Your chapped lips are likely due to dehydration from fever/cold, vitamin deficiencies (B2, iron, zinc), or environmental factors.
Next Steps
What to Do:
✔ Hydrate – Drink 2.5–3L water daily.
✔ Diet – Increase B-complex, iron, zinc (eggs, leafy greens, nuts).
✔ Lip Care – Use coconut oil, ghee, Vaseline, or lanolin-based balm. Avoid drying lip products.
✔ Nasal Care – Steam inhalation, saline drops (to prevent mouth breathing).
✔ If Severe – Tiny amount of hydrocortisone 1% for 1–2 days (if cracked/inflamed).
Health Tips
See a Doctor If:
• No improvement in 7–10 days
• Cracks at corners, swelling, or sores
• Other thyroid symptoms (fatigue, cold intolerance, weight gain)
Most likely due to cold and dehydration, so focus on hydration and lip care.
Dry and chapped lips maybe due to prolong use of pink salt as it’s a must to increase your water intake while using it or else the diuretic effect of pink salt dries up everything .

Causes can be due to Weather Conditions – Cold, dry, or windy weather can strip moisture from the lips.
Dehydration – Not drinking enough water can lead to dryness.
Allergies or Irritants – Certain lip balms, cosmetics, or foods may cause irritation.
Vitamin Deficiencies – Lack of vitamins B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), or iron can contribute.
