As you have mentioned that bite was a year ago,you are unlikely to get infected with rabies.Typically it's within 3 months. At this time, you don't need any further vaccine. However any future contact requires immediate post exposure series.

Thanks for sharing, and I completely understand your fear. Let’s break this down clearly and calmly:
✅ Current Risk Assessment
1. You are SAFE now.
Rabies symptoms always appear within weeks to months (usually 2 weeks to 3 months) after exposure if infection occurred.
➤ You remained healthy for 1 full year — this rules out rabies.
2. You don’t need vaccination now — unless you get exposed again.
There's no need to panic or take vaccine after such a long delay without re-exposure.
Next Steps
📌 Important Points:
Rabies is 100% preventable if vaccination is done in time.
It is 100% fatal only if symptoms appear and no treatment is given.
Since you did not develop any symptoms in a year, you were never infected.

Dear sir/mam
Ideally the dose should be completed within the prescribed time frame. As mentioned I understand that you took one dose one year back and missed the remaining doses. Pls monitor for any symptoms. Consult on Practo for further consultation.
➡️ Since it has been 1 year and no symptoms of rabies have appeared, you are safe now.
➡️ Rabies usually shows symptoms within weeks to months (rarely beyond 1 year).
➡️ No treatment is needed now, but in future, always complete the full vaccine schedule (all 4-5 doses).
✅ Key Advice:
No action needed now.
Don’t repeat this mistake in the future—complete full rabies vaccine if bitten/scratched again.
Dear Practo User.
Thanks for sending across your query.
I strongly advise completing the full rabies vaccine course after any potential exposure. Even a small scratch can be risky.

Did you took the Vaccine 1 yr Back? If so And You are healthy (Hopefully) than no need of Restarting the vaccination regime...
If next time You are again Exposed to A Dog or Cat Bite treat it as a new case and
Complete your Incomplete Regime, and you have to start from Day -0
That is in total 4 vaccines(Day 0,3,7,14), hopefully that helps
