Street dog bite.
I got bitten by a street dog. The wound was skin peeling without bleeding. Doctor advices me 3 shots of Rabipur or verorab. But as it was not available at the nearest medical store and on the advice of the same medical store person, I went to govt hospital. there, they gave me a shot of Abhayrab and recommended 4 more shots of it. My question is, the abhayrab injection I got was of very small dosage of around 0.1-0.2 ml (volume up to 5 lines of an insulin syringe injected on each arm ) but rabipur I saw in a medical store is of nearly 1 mm per shot. Are the govt hospital people giving me very less dosage ? And should i switch to rabipur from abhayrab. Kindly help. I am really worried.

Hi there I understand your concern and anxiety... Better to continue same brand and what you have received in government hospital is intradermal schedule where you need to take 4 shots on each arm...and dose is 0.1 ml and it ha potential as intra muscular schedule... Nothing to worry about that.. Regards.
