Dog bite, who is rabies vaccinated
Respected Dr.,
My dog playfully bit me near my nose. i dont know it is from teeth or from nail. But my dog is fully vaccinated against rabies. His next rabies shot is to be given in May 2024. I cleansed the scratch with dettol antiseptic solution. So i want to ask if i need a rabies vaccine shot ? I am sharing my face scratch picture along with this question and his rabies vaccine details. Kindly help. Thanking you in advance.

Wash wound with running water and mild gentle soap, no need for bandage or any covering
Kindly take post exposure prophylaxis from your nearest hospital
Even if your pet dog is vaccinated, please follow immunisation schedule
As per my opinion, rabies immunoglobulin is not necessary. Please seek a doctors consultation in person before vaccination

If fully vaccinated then it's OK but tell me What was the amount of blood loss?? Because Rabies have no cure so once who get positive with rabies will be in serious for sure. So always be on a safe side.

Rabies vaccine used only dog bite,the vaccine is ARV name.your face scratch remove after some weeks,it is not worried.if more details please call me I can help you .
