Your wound comes under category two. -if you completed full course and bite within 3 months - no revaccination needed -if you completed full course and bite after 3 months - booster doses needed at day 0 and day 3 and no rabies immunoglobulin needed

Complete anti rabies  vaccination as per schedule,  clean the wound regularly and apply some antiseptic ointment.  Do not scratch it. It will heal over time.

A dog bite on the upper lip needs proper follow-up because the face has many blood vessels and cosmetic structures. Since you have already taken the required anti-rabies injections, the main concern now is proper wound healing and prevention of infection or scarring. Facial dog bites sometimes require evaluation by specialists to ensure the wound heals well and does not leave significant marks or complications.
Next Steps
• a **Plastic Surgery specialist – best option for facial wounds and scar prevention • a **Dermatology specialist – for wound healing and scar management The doctor will examine the wound and may check for: • signs of infection (redness, pus, swelling) • need for antibiotic treatment if not already given • proper wound care and scar-reducing creams Continue the rabies vaccine schedule exactly as advised and ensure you have also received a **Tetanus booster if required. Seek urgent care if you notice: • increasing pain or swelling • pus discharge • fever • spreading redness around the wound.
Health Tips
Keep the wound clean and gently wash with mild soap and water once daily. Apply an antiseptic such as povidone iodine if advised. Avoid touching or picking the wound because this can worsen scarring. Once healing starts, doctors may recommend silicone gel or scar creams to improve cosmetic outcome. If you want, you can book an online consultation and share a clear photo of the wound so I can guide you on whether the healing looks normal or if a specialist visit is urgently needed.

Since the wound looks superficial, just keep it clean and you can apply povidone iodine ointment on it ..if there is any pain, fever, or difficulty in opening mouth, you can consult a general surgeon or a general physician for this

Did you also get the anti rabies immunoglobulin? Along with the Anti-Rabies vaccine ? If not please ask your nearest doctor to administer both. Though scars and the would will heal with time you can get a plastic surgery consult.
Next Steps
Anti rabies vaccine along with Immunoglobulin if not yet taken

wound looks superficial and clean, just wash it thoroughly with soap and running water, apply a topical antiseptic, and keep the area clean and dry. Along with the rabies vaccination, try to get rabies immunoglobulin from your nearby clinic.
