My mom had a wrist fracture and cast is removed after 5 weeks.
She has swelling and stiffness in palm and fingers. She is able to move elbow and shoulder but wrist and fingers have stiffness.
I am attaching recent X-ray. Please review and suggest further procedure.
Thanks a lot!

I am not sure if I have already opined but here I go again.
Stiffness should be avoided at all cost by physio even during cast application. Now if she is a diabetic then usually reflex sympathetiic Dystrophy sets in. I hope she doesn't have stiffness of shoulder.
Please avail the services of a good physio who can mobilise the DRUJ and Radiocarpal joints. Then anti edema exercises and mobilisation of individual finger joints.
Please keep the hand elevated at chest level at all time.
Medication may help but please meet a doctor and get a prescription.
If handled properly she should have normal functioning hand in 3 weeks. Further delay will be detrimental.
