To alleviate difficulty swallowing, try sipping warm liquids like tea or broth, eating soft foods like yogurt, scrambled eggs, and mashed bananas, and attempting home remedies like gargling with salt water, sucking on ice cubes, or trying the "supraglottic swallow" technique, where you take a sip, hold your breath, and then swallow.
