How to treat difficulty in swallowing saliva

Hi I am 42 year old male, since 2 days I am having pain in my throat. It is also burning and I find it difficult to swallow saliva too. Is it signs of Throat infection? What should I do to relieve the throat pain, so that I can eat and drink something?
