Please don’t give solids before 6 months. Even after 6 months introduce foods one by one. Remember breast milk or formula milk is still the main food for infants. When you start solids give it in mashed form, so that it is easier to transition to solids.

Hi Pls start with fruits like banana( ripe) and apple You could start these fruits after child completes 4 months. Bananas can be mashed and given at mid morning just the mashed bananas or mixed with cereal porridge and appple can be boiled with 5 to 6 tsps or water, covered and cooked for 4 to 5 mins mashed and given. Three weeks to 1 month of introduction of these fruits you may make juice with quarter sweet lime adding quarter tsp of sugar dilute with little water and could give in juice form. When baby completes 6 to 7 months slowly start introducing other fruits one by one.

Healthy morning, Formula or breast milk is most important ingredient in 5 month old’s diet . Waiting until baby is about 6 months old to start solid foods . Starting before 5 months is not recommended. At about 6 months, babies need the added nutrition- such as iron or zinc- that solid foods provide. It’s also the right time to introduce your infant to new taste and textures .

Hi, For a 5 month baby you just need to give only breastmilk and no other or extra thing, or can give formula milk if you faced any issue in breastfeeding.
