Diagnosed with osteoporosis (-3.3)
My mother is diagnosed with osteoporosis and high fracture risk. A Dexa scan has been done this month which came out to be - 3.3. She has gone under hysterectomy 3 years ago. She has pain in all her joints. All other bone related blood tests  are normal. Vit D is also normal.  What is the best possible treatment for her condition? And what other measures need to be taken to increase bone density and get back to normal ? Also she is stressed all the time.

Start taking Calcium 1000mg daily combined with Vitamin D 1000IU daily for 3 months. If there is an existing microfracture, you can take a teriparatide injection. After 3 months, you can go for Bisphosphonate or denosumab therapy along with lifelong calcium supplements. physical exercises and a protein rich diet also play a vital role in maintaining bone density..
