My mother is 60 yrs old and having dexa score -2.5. Doctor prescribed Osteofos 70 mg once in a week with vit d3 60k also once in a week .
How long this treatment will go..one yaer or two? My mother is afaris of side effects of Osteofos like hair falling and loosening of teeth. Please help if there is any other dietay treatment of osteoporosis?

You can opt for yearly once zolendronic acid infusion if her renal status is normal...instead of weekly tablets.
All the anti osteoporosis medications have comparable results.
