How to avoid Osteoporosis in future? do we need to take Ca supplements from 40 yrs age? my mother had Osteo arthritis at age if 65 yrs will i get it too?

First of all osteoarthritis and osteoporosis are 2 different entities. To evaluate for osteoporosis u need to get your serum calcium, vit d3 levels, along with BMD scan. Osteoarthritis is a age related disorder. U can visit an orthopaedic surgeon for proper evaluation.
