I was diagnosed with diabetes 3 months back with HbA1c of 11.2. I was started on tab metformin 1000mg twice daily. Now after 3 months HbA1c is 10.2.
Is this fine or not. Pls reply

10.2 HBA1C is high ,as a diabetic you need to Target HBA1C to 7 or below.Though metformin is a very good medicine ,it has to be combined with other antidiabetic medicine to get an optimal fasting glucose and post prandial glucose level.Along with medicine diet control and life style modifications will play an important part in controlling the diabetes.
Initally you need to consult for proper medical dosing
Normal range for you would b 6.5hba1c preferably
We need to add one more salt with metformin that can bring you hba1c level towards normal side
