Diabetes Medication
Hello,
I am a 35 years female. I do not have a family history of diabetes and I too never had elevated levels of blood sugar before. But recently we thought of family planning and visited the fertility consultant. I did all the required pre pragnancy check up and surprisingly my blood sugar levels were high. I am stating my sugar levels below
Random Blood sugar - 150
Fasting Blood Sugar - 129
PPBS - 126
Hbac1- 6.9
My gynecologist prescribed me Metformin 1000 mg twice daily.
I want to know if the doses are correct. Also, is my sugar level is too high for starting fertility treatment?

It is not very high... But it is in the diabetic range.. better to start with medicines...
