I understand it’s difficult for many to accept that they may need to talk to a psychiatrist, most of the people who are in this dilemma feel that they have failed and perceive themselves weak, but on the contrary it takes a lot more courage to accept the situation and gather the guts to consult. So your fear is both psychological and also driven by anxiety which is clouding your confidence. But just take a leap of faith and consult a psychiatrist to screen yourself for the severity of your symptoms. Sometimes it might be adjustment symptoms to the whole situation and may not need long term medication, could also turn out to be anxiety disorder, both the cases are completely safe and curable.
Next Steps
Consult a psychiatrist.
