Hello, Thank you for sharing your concern. From your description, it appears that your upper second molar is likely infected, which is causing the pain and swelling. The medication you've taken (Ketorol-DT) will only offer temporary pain relief but won’t treat the root cause.
Next Steps
Visit a nearby dentist immediately for a clinical check-up. An X-ray (IOPA or RVG) will be needed to assess the extent of infection. Based on the X-ray, the most likely treatment option will be a Root Canal Treatment (RCT) if the tooth is still restorable. You may also require a short course of antibiotics to control the infection and swelling before starting treatment.
Health Tips
Do not continue painkillers beyond 2–3 days without a proper diagnosis. Swelling, if left untreated, may spread to adjacent teeth, sinus, or bone. Early treatment leads to better outcomes and helps save the natural tooth.

There can be various reasons for swelling around a tooth, and it is essential to have it clinically evaluated. To support the diagnosis, your dentist may recommend a radiograph of the tooth. If left untreated, the swelling can spread to adjacent teeth or the underlying bone, potentially worsening your condition and leading to more complex complications. Kindly address your concern at the earliest and avoid any delay. Relying only on painkillers may provide temporary relief, but treating the root cause is the only way to achieve a permanent solution. I strongly recommend visiting your nearest dentist for appropriate diagnosis and treatment.

Health Tips
Temporary fixes can cost permanent damage—treat the cause, not just the symptoms.
