Black spots are most likely stains either from habits like smoking or could be decay from cavities, or a rough surface on your tooth which is accumulating stains. Might just need cleaning and polishing. Excessive brushing will cause sensitivity. Brush thoroughly not vigorously. Visit your dentist for a thorough evaluation
The black spots could be tooth cavities or stains. Both of which have simple remedies. A simple clinical examination will give you your diagnosis and a solution.
dark spots about which you are asking may be tooth decay and it can grow bigger in size as decay progress deeper in teeth...its better you visit to a dentist for proper diagnosis.. if it is decay then you can get them filled with suitable filling materials..
and toothbrushing for 10 min. is not required.. you will harm your teeth by doing prolonged brushing... do brushing 2-3 min. in proper way..that much is enough.. otherwise you will have teeth sensitivity problem in future....
sounds to be caries..
visit ur dentist for proper diagnosis of the problem.
caries can be removed and restored with tooth colored composites.
if they are stains then teeth whitening wud help.
most probably the dark spots which you are mentioning are cavities. and if it is so, it will not go on its own and keep increasing slowly. the best thing is to meet a good dentist and get those spots cleaned and filled by some filling material.
however this reply is only based on assumptions, the best thing will be to reach a good dentist near you and have the teeth checked.

Stains or cavities or both. You need a dental exam. ASAP. Dental care is not expensive - Neglect Is. So if by regular brushing it's not going, going to the dentist is the next best thing!!
it's seems the spots are intrinsic .
since when have you noticed the spots ?
rigorous brushing over 10 min is not required as it might make your teeth sensitive as they will get abraded
brushing should be 2-5 mins
for removal of intrinsic stains you may have to bleach your teetth
