Dandruff or something else?
Greetings and good day! Attaching photo of my scalp after a recent haircut. Have been having this sticky and ringworm type dandruff. Wish to know what is it actually and what treatment should I do? Warm regards.

From the image, the circular scaly patches with dandruff-like scaling can be suggestive of a fungal infection of the scalp (tinea) or severe seborrheic dermatitis. Both conditions can appear ring-like and cause sticky dandruff. Next Steps ✔️ Keep the scalp clean and avoid excessive oiling ✔️ Do not use steroid creams or random products on the scalp ✔️ I would recommend an online consultation with me so I can examine the scalp image in detail and guide you with the appropriate treatment. Helpful Tip Early treatment usually helps control the infection and prevent further spread on the scalp. Avoid home remedies, self medication and Dr. Google please

Greetings to you too.. Thanks for the clear pic. Diagnosis and treatment however may not be as straightforward. Yes there may be a fungal element at play and a simple KOH stain will help clear this up. Seborrheic Dermatitis is another very possible issue. Will need more information ℹ️ about your medical, personal, family, stress levels etc before one can give you a comprehensive management plan.
