Dandruff or something else?
Greetings and good day! Attaching photo of my scalp after a recent haircut. Have been having this sticky and ringworm type dandruff. Wish to know what is it actually and what treatment should I do? Warm regards.

From the image, the circular scaly patches with dandruff-like scaling can be suggestive of a fungal infection of the scalp (tinea) or severe seborrheic dermatitis. Both conditions can appear ring-like and cause sticky dandruff.

Diagnosis and treatment however may not be as straightforward. Yes there may be a fungal element at play and a simple KOH stain will help clear this up.
