Ct or mri scan
I am having pain in abdomen since 15 days usg done but normal doctor told me to get a ct scan done as he is suspecting small renal calculus ..can I get mri abdomen instead of ct as I don't want to be exposed to radiation

No, MRI is not advisable for renal stone detection. Get NCCT KUB done

Ct scan is for hard material like stone .mri for soft tissue ..so stone will be seen in ct only

Single exposure of radiation from ct will not harm you. For renal calculi ct is preferred. Go for ct scan
