Cracks on the scrotal skin with burning sensation, especially worse at night or early morning, and skin peeling are most commonly due to local skin conditions, such as:
• Fungal infection (tinea / jock itch)
• Irritant or allergic dermatitis (soap, sweat, tight clothing)
• Dry skin or eczema, worsened by heat and moisture
This is usually not serious, not related to sexual disease, and very treatable. Night-time burning is common in fungal or inflamed skin because heat and sweating increase irritation.
Next Steps
• Consult a general physician or dermatologist for direct examination
• Treatment commonly includes:
• Antifungal cream (if fungal infection is suspected)
• Moisturizing / barrier cream if dryness or eczema is present
• Avoid self-using steroid combination creams without advice, as they can worsen fungal infections
• If there is oozing, severe pain, fever, or rapid spreading, seek care sooner
Health Tips
• Keep the area clean and completely dry
• Avoid harsh soaps; use a mild, fragrance-free cleanser
• Wear loose cotton underwear
• Do not scratch—scratching worsens cracks and burning
• Change sweaty clothes promptly
• Avoid applying powders or home remedies unless advised
I understand how uncomfortable and worrying symptoms in this area can feel, but the good news is that this is very common and easily manageable once the exact cause is identified.
A short consultation can help you get the right treatment quickly and safely, so you can be comfortable again without trial-and-error.
? Fungal infection
? Eczema
Keep the place dry.
Locally apply ketoconazole ointment twice.
Tab cetrizine 10 one at night.
Use cotton undergarments. In few days it settel.
Sounds like scrotal fungal infection / dermatitis — cracks + burning + peeling skin are common. Tight clothing and sweating usually make it worse (that’s why underwear gives relief).
Next Steps
Keep area dry, wear loose cotton underwear.
Apply Clotrimazole or Ketoconazole cream twice daily for 2 weeks.
For itching/burning, Cetirizine at night helps.
Avoid steroid combo creams (like Betnovate-C) unless prescribed.
Health Tips
I know this is uncomfortable — it usually settles fast with proper treatment.
If not improving in 3–4 days or cracks worsen, please book a consult with me so I can guide exact meds and prevent recurrence.
Maybe fungal infection or eczema.
Apply betnovate c ointment twice daily.
Take tab cetrizine 5mg twice daily.
Use only cotton undergarments.
Consult a dermatologist physically.
Most likely its due to fungal infection of the scrotal skin (tinea cruris / candidal intertrigo) or irritant/contact dermatitis.you need to local care for some days like avoid scratching, wear loose underwear.you need to some ointment and medicine to recover fast in 3 to 5 days.please feel free to consult me on practo for further management and evaluation.
