Persistent coughing after a viral flu is common and often due to lingering airway irritation or postnasal drip. Here’s what can help: Stay Hydrated: Drink warm fluids like teas or soups to soothe your throat. Use Steam or Humidifiers: Moist air can ease irritation. Avoid Irritants: Stay away from smoke, strong odors, and cold air. Home Remedies: Honey with warm water or ginger tea may provide relief. If the cough lasts over 3–4 weeks, worsens, or is accompanied by fever, chest pain, or difficulty breathing, consult a doctor for further evaluation.
