Along with the medication...kindly do static quadriceps exercise ,vmo strengthening exercise , hamstring curls , cycling , swimming... kindly do all the excercises in the guidance of a physiotherapist...and also take physiotherapy sessions along with taping technique...
Get well soon.. take care

Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.
Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day.
Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area
More important than medications is physiotherapy
So if not started yet physiotherapy in the form of taping and vmo strengthening exercises is a must
Bed rest is not required
Avoid squatting sitting cross legged and avoid running fast
Sometimes bracing also helps but to decide whether brace will help or not I need to see you
All the best for your recovery according to reports it is a minor issue do not worry you will get better
Please do remember opinion is given on basis of report and may change after seeing and examining the patient
