My mother's MRI impression says: IMPRESSION: Feature suggestive of mild to moderate tibo-femoral osteoarthritis with effusios •Medial meniscus anterior, posterior horns and adjacent body show intra-substance signal of grade III with its extrusion Grade II signal seen anterior, posterior horns of lateral meniscus Chondromalacia patella grade 1 Advice: Follow up Investigations have their limitations. Solitary pathological/Radiological and other investigations never confirm the final diagnosis. They only help in diagnosing the disease in correlation to clinical symptoms and other related tests. Ple interpret accordingly. What does this means? Thank you!

It means that the knee joint is undergoing changes as per the age.. The protective cartilage in your knee is worn out..Also the shock absorbing structure in your knee i.e. the meniscus is torn as well as its poping out of its natural place..

Deep heat Therapy-SWD, Infrared, Local USG • Watch for increased Pain/Swelling/Stiffness/Redness/Fever. If present, visit the nearest hospital immediately. • Avoid ground-level activities like squatting and cross-leg sitting. Use English/sitting commodes for toilet activities.
